Liberal Prime Ministers have their say at COP21 in Paris
From 30 November to 11 December Paris hosts the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference or COP21 aiming to achieve a legally binding and universal agreement on climate. ‘Sam Rainsy is stronger than the oppressive regime’ - President welcomes resolution on Cambodia
Last week, MEPs in the European Parliament in Strasbourg adopted a resolution on Cambodia and called for the arrest warrant and politically-motivated charges against liberal partner and opposition leader Sam Rainsy to be dropped.
GSLP-Liberals win general election in Gibraltar
ALDE Party member Liberal Party of Gibraltar, in coalition with the Gibraltar Socialist Labour Party won the parliamentary elections held on 26 November. The personal vote for the leader of the LPG and currently Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Joseph Garcia, was just behind that of the Chief Minister.

On 28 November ALDE Party member VVD hosted its autumn Congress. VVD leader and Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte addressed the participants. In his speech, he said: "We are conducting a fight for our freedom and it is a battle we are going to win."

Corinne Cahen elected as new President of the Demokratesch Partei
On Saturday 28 November the ALDE Party member party in Luxembourg, Demokratesch Partei, hosted its annual Congress in Luxembourg City. The party elected Luxembourg's Family Minister Corinne Cahen as its new President succeeding Prime Minister Xavier Bettel.
Congress' delegates take a stand on terrorism, refugee crisis, TTIP and climate change
At the 2015 ALDE Party Congress in Budapest, delegates adopted policy resolutions on a range of important and topical matters, such as terrorism, refugee crisis, climate change, TTIP or EU reaction to the situation in Iraq, Syria and Ukraine.
