ALDE Party received 11 nominations for Vice-President and one for President in the next ALDE Party Bureau.
Member parties had until 13 September to send their nominations for the next ALDE Party Bureau.
A new President and six Vice-Presidents will be elected at the upcoming ALDE Party Congress in Portugal on 4-6 October.
ALDE Party member FDP in Germany nominated Svenja Hahn MEP, current ALDE Party Vice-President and former President of the European Liberal Youth (LYMEC), for President.
The nominations received for Vice-President include:

- Sal Brinton (LibDems, UK)
- Lucrezia Conti (Liberali Democratici Europei, IT)
- Rik Daems (Open VLD, BE)
- Joar Forssell (Liberalerna, SE)
- Yevgeniia Kravchuk (Sluga Narodu, UA)
- Jouni Ovaska (Keskusta, FI)
- Lucia Plaváková (Progressive Slovakia, SL)
- Kira Rudik (Holos, UA)
- Monika Zajkova (Liberalno-demokratska partija, MK)
Candidates will take part in a Q&A session on 5 October, after which the election booths will be opened. The ALDE Party Secretariat will also organise on 24 September (16.00 - 17.30 CEST) a "Meet the candidates" session ahead of Congress for voting delegates to learn more about each candidate.
The elected members will complete the Bureau with Malik Azmani MEP (VVD, NL), Dan Barna MEP (USR, RO) and Eva Kjer Hansen (Venstre, DK) and Treasurer David Burke (Fianna Fáil, IE) who were elected on a two-year term at last year’s Congress in Stockholm.
The Bureau is ALDE Party’s political leadership which sets the party’s day-to-day political guidelines and is formed by the President, nine Vice-Presidents and the Treasurer.
