On 23 April, Open VLD, one of ALDE Party's member parties in Belgium, will launch a series of events to work on proposals for liberal reforms for Belgium. The initiative takes the name "Operation Liberal Fire" and looks to revitalize liberal politics and push for ambitious reforms. The first of these events will take place in person in Ghent, count with Sophie in't Veld MEP (D66, The Netherlands) as keynote speaker, and host three working groups on the following topics:
- State reform
- Political renewal
- Local authorities
