On 24-26 February, ALDE Party member Più Europa held its Third National Congress in Rome, Italy. During the Congress, delegates elected Federico Pizzarotti as the Party’s new President. He takes over from Riccardo Magi, who transitions from President to Secretary General, taking over from Benedetto Della Vedova. Additionally, Carla Taibi was elected as Treasurer.  

Following his election, Pizzaroti declared: 

“The beginning of a new path. Lots of enthusiasm and passion. I will work on the territories to grow.”

Delegates also voted on resolutions about human rights around the world, support for Ukraine, migration, genetic manipulation and the Party’s internal regulations. You can find all the motions discussed in Italian here.
