At the invitation of ALDE Party President Hans van Baalen MEP and Guy Verhofstadt MEP, leader of the ALDE Group in the European Parliament; liberal Prime Ministers and European Commissioners met at the Egmont Palace in Brussels on Thursday 13 December ahead of the European Council of the same day.
This time, the leader of Fianna Fáil, Micheál Martin, the leader of the Liberal Democrats, Sir Vince Cable and the leader of Ciudadanos, Albert Rivera also joined the meeting.
Crucial topics were discussed such as the most recent state of play of the Brexit negotiations - with a contribution by Micheál Martin and Vince Cable, the EU's long-term budget, single market, migration and external relations.
