Radikale Venstre, the Danish Social Liberal Party, was formed in 1905 after splitting from the ALDE Party's other Danish member party Venstre. Antimilitarists gathered in a new social liberal wing with a bigger focus for culture and reducing social inequality. With a long track record of government participation, Radikale Venstre (“Radical Left”) provides parliamentary support to the Frederiksen cabinet. In November 2022, Martin Lidegaard became the party leader succeeding Sofie Carsten Nielsen.
