This week, the Renew Europe Group launched a monthly event series called ‘Values Talk’ with Renew Europe President Dacian Cioloș and leading liberal politicians from across Europe. Held in the context of the newly launched Conference on the Future of Europe, the talks will include questions from civil society organisations, citizens and journalists.
The first Values Talk took place on 1 June, with the participation of Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas of ALDE Party member Reformierakond and Renew Europe President Dacian Cioloș. Their debate focused on what lessons can be learned from Estonia on digital, one of the key priorities of the Renew Europe Group.
Dacian Cioloș, President of Renew Europe said:
“Reform of the European Union is a priority and European liberals are at the forefront of these efforts. As the Conference on the Future of Europe gets underway, European politicians have a duty to engage with citizens, civil society and our own family members to start the process of reinventing the European Union. In the past, reform of the EU has been top down, it must now be citizen led!”
