We are delighted to welcome a new member to the ALDE Party Secretariat: Iiris André joins the team in the capacity of Social Media Officer.

Originally from Finland, Iiris has studied, worked and lived around Europe for the past seven years, and joined the ALDE Party after two years at the Brussels-based think tank Friends of Europe, where she coordinated and worked on all things communications. She has also completed traineeships at different organisations, including the European Commission Representation in Finland, the United Nations Regional Information Centre and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.

Speaking on her first day, Iiris explained what motivated her to join ALDE: "I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to European politics and the ALDE Party at this crucial point in time. Social media plays such a key role in political campaigning these days – it’s a privilege to be able to follow it so closely."
