Liberalerna in Sweden have chosen their head of list for the European elections taking place in May.
Karin Karlsbro, a lawyer and the Chair of the Green Liberals from Stockholm, was appointed by the Party Council to lead the party’s electoral campaign.
“I am happy and honoured to have been trusted with leading the election campaign of the most EU friendly party,” she commented upon the announcement.
“I want to defend the freedom that the EU is about; the freedom to work, to study to travel and to trade. All that makes the European cooperation strong and that builds welfare and security in Europe, in this time that should not be taken for granted.”
