On 6 April, Team Europe member and ALDE Group President Guy Verhofstadt took part in Youth Day, an interactive Q&A session with Europe’s youth, organised by the European Youth Forum.

With topics ranging from extending Erasmus and the role of the Single Market to Internet standards and Europe’s competitive edge, Verhofstadt was clear in his call to action ahead of the European elections.

“Liberal democracy is the template of Europe. And today it is at threat. We need to fight for Europe, to defend its liberal and democratic values,” he said.
