On 26 March, during the European Parliament plenary sessions in Strasbourg, the Special Committee on Financial Crimes, Tax Evasion and Tax Avoidance Chairman Petr Ježek, Coordinator Nils Torvalds and Shadow Rapporteur Wolf Klinz sat down for an interview to discuss the final findings and recommendations of the TAX3 Committee.
The final report of the Committee was approved by a majority vote.
Created as a continuation for the European Parliament’s work on the Panama and Paradise Papers scandals, during its mandate, the TAX3 Committee met 34 times and organised 18 public hearings.
"It was key to get the right people to the right hearings. The hearings touched upon every single difficult issue related to the mandate,” Ježek commented on the process.
