USR represents the only liberal party in Romania which has constantly advocated for European values and principles since its birth. Founded in 2020 by the union of USR and PLUS, the party united activists and technocrats that decided to get involved in politics in order to change the system from inside, by fighting corruption and promoting transparency. 

USR is committed to strengthening the rule of law in Romania, respecting the civil rights and liberties and making Romania a strong, active and trustworthy member of the EU and NATO. USR stands for the core liberal and European values: freedom, market economy, modernisation starting with the institutions. The solutions for both Romania and the EU reside from European liberalism, a modern centre-right perspective.
