Veronika Cifrová Ostrihoňová graduated from the Jura Hronac Gymnasium in Bratislava in 2008, subsequently studying political science and history at the University of Paris and at New York University in the USA.
Her long career as a TV presenter and journalist started joining Markiza in 2013, where she worked as an editor on the news programme Televízne noviny, focusing on health topics. She presented various other programmes like Šoubiz noviny and Silná sestavava on RTVS.
As of June 2017 she hosted the talk show SIT DOWN with Veronika, with whom she travelled around the country. The show featured inspiring personalities, interesting women and famous men. Among her guests were famous Slovak journalists, politicians, athletes and actors.
In 2024, she announced she would enter into politics by running for the European elections on the candidate list of Progressive Slovakia (PS) led by former Prime Minister Ľudovít Odor. She was elected alongside five other candidates from the PS list, joining the party's biggest-ever delegation in Brussels.
