Last week, we welcomed Ioana Pavel to the ALDE Party Secretariat! Ioana started her traineeship at the Engagement Unit by helping out during the ALDE Party Congress in Dublin and will continue to support the Engagement Unit with its campaigns.

Ioana was previously the internal communications officer at USR (Union Save Romania) and has studied human rights at Malmo University in Sweden as well as liberal arts at University College Roosevelt in the Netherlands. Her article, The #strajkkobiet phenomenon and the case for consistency between internal enforcement and external promotion of EU values, was published in the ELF volume EU Diplomacy Fit for the Future (2021).

During her traineeship her goal is to build upon her knowledge of political communications in the international context that Brussels has to offer.
