The Yabloko party, one of the ALDE member parties in Russia, is celebrating its 25th anniversary by releasing a documentary called ‘The Optimists’. Filmed at the end of 2018, the protagonists of the documentary not only cover the history and the formation of the party but also recollect the key moments and events of the history of Russia over the past 25 years.
“This is broader than the history of a party. This is a story of victories and defeats, hopes and disappointments of the Russian society, millions of people, which is told from the positions that rarely get the opportunity to be expressed in today’s mass media,” says Alexander Gnezdilov, one of the film’s authors.
The documentary is available on the Youtube channel of Yabloko.
