The future of liberalism is already here, and it has 50 faces.
As ALDE Party and LYMEC celebrate 50 years of European liberalism, we’re shining a spotlight on the next generation - 50 young liberals who are making things happen and helping shape Europe’s future.
The response to our open call for nominations was huge, with more than 100 young liberals put forward from across Europe. After a careful selection process, our panel chose the final 50, bringing together rising leaders and people to keep an eye on.
Each nominee comes from across the liberal family, from LYMEC and ALDE Party members to the wider European network. With different backgrounds, each participant has different ideas – but all have one shared drive to make a difference.
And what better way to wrap up our anniversary year than by celebrating the people who will carry liberalism forward? We want to look ahead to the future and the next five centuries to come.
The celebration continues at ALDE Party Council in Dublin, where a special youth event on 12 November will put our youth campaign centre stage. We’ll also premiere a video introducing the 50 young liberals to watch.
