Young liberals are creating real change in European politics.
The LYMEC Autumn Congress took place from 14-15 November in Bratislava, Slovakia. With an ever-changing geopolitical landscape and mounting European challenges, the young liberals led inspiring debates and faced numerous core issues head-on.
A total of 13 resolutions were passed by the Congress, confronting topics from Israel-Palestine, fighting for democratic resilience and civil society funding to protecting minority groups, mobilising European defence capabilities and empowering European infrastructure.
Delegates elected the LYMEC Delegation to the ALDE Party Congress in 2026, with a total of eight participants selected to represent the youth at next year’s Congress in Vienna.

ALDE Party Vice-President Lucia Plaváková MP gave an impassioned speech to the youth delegates:
“Let us keep working together as LYMEC and ALDE Party to make sure the next generation can grow in a Europe that is not only liberal, but also prosperous. As Vice-President of ALDE, I see that the liberal movement is alive and full of energy thanks to you.”
