Successes of the Estonian EU Presidency

6 January marks the start of the new political year for the German Liberals. This year, FDP wanted to create the right atmosphere for the upcoming local elections in Schleswig-Holstein as well as for the state elections in Bavaria and Hesse.

    On Tuesday 16 January the Estonian Prime Minister Jüri Ratas travelled to Strasbourg to review the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union with the Members of the European Parliament. "We hope that Europe is more united, stronger and safer than it was six months ago," he said.

    Exciting times! Last week the European Parliament Conference of Presidents -the leaders of the political groups in the Parliament- decided that the next European elections will take place between 23 and 26 May 2019. The proposed dates will now be sent to Member States for approval.
