After 42 years Anne Brasseur retires from active politics
Anne Brasseur, a long-standing Liberal, both at the national and European level, has announced she will retire from active politics. She will step down as a Member of the Luxembourg's Chamber of Deputies, where she sits with ALDE Party member Demokratecsh Partei, on 31 January.
Jüri Ratas reviews Estonian EU Presidency
On Tuesday 16 January the Estonian Prime Minister Jüri Ratas travelled to Strasbourg to review the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union with the Members of the European Parliament. "We hope that Europe is more united, stronger and safer than it was six months ago," he said.
