For decades, Europe’s liberals have consistently recognised the need for an appropriate balance between energy production, economic development, and environmental protection. Environmental protection can stimulate innovation, protect natural resources, and lead to the development of greener technologies and jobs creation. Moreover, we advocate for an agricultural policy based on economic, environmental, and social sustainability. Europe should also develop a common EU energy policy to reduce dependence on external providers, such as Russia.
