In their end of the year message, ALDE Party Co-Presidents Timmy Dooley and Ilhan Kyuchyuk MEP share holiday greetings and best wishes with the European liberal family.
2022 has been an active year for Europe’s liberals. As we started to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, we woke up to the drums of war sounding in Europe. Liberals have risen to the challenge, and our support for Ukraine and its people remains steadfast. Dooley and Kyuchyuk remind us in their message to not take our liberal values for granted and offer words of encouragement for a well-deserved break this holiday season.
“One of the best parts of the holiday season is getting to spend time with the people that are special to you,” says Kyuchyuk.
“Putin’s invasion of Ukraine reminded us that we cannot take our liberal values for granted,” declared Dooley.
“This is why we keep our Ukrainian friends and allies in our hearts and minds this holiday season,” added Kyuchyuk.
“Despite these challenging times, you could all use a break. So have a happy holiday,” concluded Dooley.
