EP Election Candidates
Candidates running in the European Parliament elections 2019 are strongly encouraged to attend this event. This will give them the opportunity to attend a dedicated training session and to meet and network with their fellow candidates from around Europe.
During the programme, the ALDE Party will hold a dedicated training for candidates (12:00 - 15:00). This session will discuss EU-wide research providing insights on Europe-wide trends such as nationalism, immigration etc., and how ALDE members can position themselves vis-a-vis these trends in their own countries. This focus will include understanding the political momentum of the region and testing the impact of potential EU-scale dynamics on the EP elections. During a panel discussion with ALDE political consultants we will discuss the impact of the findings on candidates’ campaigns. Please see the programme of the training at the bottom of the page.
Up to 3 candidates per member party will also be able to benefit from a travel reimbursement amounting to €200 per person. To receive this reimbursement, International Officers need to send an email to [email protected] indicating which candidates it will be applied to. They will then receive a reimbursement form to be submitted along with travel purchase receipts. This aforementioned session is also open to all candidates who wish to participate and plan to attend the campaign launch event on their own cost.
