The ALDE Party marks 50 years of shaping European politics in 2026!
After five decades of protecting freedoms and democracy, we can't wait to celebrate this milestone with you. Over the year, we will take a moment to look back on our achievements, but most importantly, we will look forward to the future of the liberal movement.
We have a few surprises planned this year, with numerous events coming up to mark the occasion. The celebrations kick off in February in Stuttgart, marking the signing of the Stuttgart Declaration of 1976, the ALDE Party’s founding document. We will then mark our official 50th Anniversary on 26 March. This year’s Party Congress in July will also put the anniversary at its heart.
Our members and supporters are at the centre of this anniversary year, and together we’ll celebrate this moment, reflect on our history and shape the next chapter of European liberalism. You won’t want to miss out on the big year ahead.
