The ALDE Party has welcomed several high-level liberal guests from around Europe to visit the Liberal House in Brussels over the past weeks.

Our guests met with ALDE Party President Svenja Hahn MEP to discuss liberal priorities and how we can collaborate on shared priorities.

Party leader Antti Kaikkonen (Keskusta, FI) firstly visited the Liberal House to discuss a shared liberal vision for the future. With a changing geopolitical order and a return to power politics, Europe must stick together to fend off those who disrespect sovereignty.

Oleksandr Korniyenko (Servant of the People, UA) who is also his party's leader, visited the headquarters and met with President Hahn. With the upcoming four-year anniversary of Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the pair reflected on Ukraine’s resilience and the importance of continued collaboration.

With emerging geopolitical challenges, strong liberal collaboration is needed more than ever to shape a secure and united Europe. From defending Ukraine against Russia, to protecting Europe’s values against autocratic bullies, both meetings held great importance.

Liberal collaboration has never been more important than now. A united Europe is a resilient Europe.
