At ALDE Party member Open VLD’s New Year’s reception, party chair Frédéric De Gucht shared an exciting announcement – the party is changing its name to Anders, or “Different” in Dutch.

This change marks a fresh start for the party, with De Gucht presenting a rebranded look and renewed priorities.

"This is more than just a new name: we're going to do politics differently. We're starting from scratch. There are no taboos, no dogmas. What we do have are big dreams and ambition. It will be Anders."
“We’re in politics to change things. Enough with small dreams, it has to be more. This is more than a new name, we are starting from scratch more fearlessly,” he said, announcing the change.

At its core, Anders is all about believing in people’s potential, cutting red tape and making life easier for citizens and encouraging entrepreneurship to make the world a better place.
