Bosnia and Herzegovina’s 2026 General Election has given ALDE Party member Naša Stranka a new mandate to keep pushing its liberal agenda across the country, with the party remaining represented at every level of government.
The party went into the election defending seats on all levels for the first time in its history. Naša stranka secured four seats in the Federation Parliament and one mandate at state level. It also remains represented in the cantonal assemblies, including three seats in Sarajevo, two in Tuzla and one in Zenica-Doboj Canton.
The result came in a difficult wider political environment, with low turnout and strong performances from nationalist parties across the country putting further pressure on pro-European and reform-oriented forces.
Party leader Sabina Ćudić acknowledged the result while stressing what the mandates mean for the party’s next chapter. “After these elections, our party is parliamentary at all levels,” she said, highlighting the trust placed in the party by tens of thousands of voters.
The party campaigned on four priorities: a stronger economy and higher living standards, EU integration, the fight against corruption and stronger links with the diaspora. Its programme also called for EU reforms, an independent judiciary and greater representation of women in leadership.
Throughout the campaign, it argued for a more functional state and a society built around freedom, equality and responsibility. As Ćudić put it on election night, “the campaign is over, but the work is just beginning.”
She also struck a forward-looking note in her speech, saying, “the strength of a team is not measured when they are at their peak, but when they have to take responsibility for what has been done and what has not been done, and offer solutions. Our party will do that.”
Ćudić also secured a strong personal result in her electoral district, adding another note of confidence as she takes responsibility for the party’s performance and looks ahead to its next chapter.
