Martin Selmayr’s astonishing power grab to unexpectedly become the new Secretary General of the European Commission has attracted headlines all around Brussels. The ALDE Group First Vice President Sophie in ’t Veld MEP called on President Juncker to reverse the decision and asked the EU ombudsman to investigate the matter without delay:
