Last Thursday, Paola d’Amécourt joined the ALDE Party Secretariat to support the team as Campaign Adviser for the upcoming European elections. A 32-year-old French national, Paola started in 2010 as parliamentary assistant & chief of campaigns to a French MP during the 2012 legislative elections. She then moved to Brussels and worked in Public Affairs in the private sector, including the last 3 years as EU Public Affairs Manager for global beer leader AB InBev (Leuven, Belgium).
For the duration of the campaign, Paola will support ALDE’s Campaign Director Didrik de Schaetzen and his team on various assignments, including strategy, messaging, communications materials etc.
When speaking about this opportunity on her first day, she said: "With new forms of populism rising around Europe there has never been a better moment to fight for liberal values and for a strong, modern EU. I am very grateful for this opportunity! "
