ALDE member parties Free Democratic Party (FDP) of Germany and Liberal Democrats of the United Kingdom have joined forces with their new project titled ‘Bridging Brexit’.
The aim of the project is to “build bridges where some want to pull our countries apart” by connecting people in Germany and in the UK. This way, citizens in both countries have an opportunity to exchange ideas and bridge the divide that has been caused by nationalism and misconceptions.
The project is a concrete example of liberal forces building bridges across Europe.
