ALDE Party Council to take place 10-11 December

On 10-11 December, ALDE Party will hold a Council Meeting in Rome, Italy. The event will bring together, in person and online, delegates from our member parties, ALDE Party Bureau members and liberal figures, including Renew Europe President Stéphane Séjourné, to discuss key challenges and other points on the liberal agenda.

Parts of the Council will be live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube, open to the public for viewing and participation. An overview of the live-streamed sessions are listed below – please check the Council programme regularly for potential updates.

Friday, 10 December

15:30-17:00 CET

3rd Hans van Baalen town hall meeting on the Future of Europe, where liberals from across the continent will come together with citizens for a lively discussion on Europe's future.

  • Ilhan Kyuchyuk MEP, ALDE Party acting co-President

  • Guy Verhofstadt MEP, co-chair of Conference on the Future of Europe Executive Board

  • Olga Stefanishina, Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine

  • Benedetto Della Vedova, Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Secretary of Più Europa

  • Antoaneta Asenova-Bihlmayer, LYMEC President

Council meeting

The ALDE Party Council meeting will take place on Saturday, 11 December at 10:30 CET. The meeting includes discussion and debate on key liberal topics, and voting on the membership application of Strategy Aghmashenebeli (Georgia) and the application of Laisvės partija (Lithuania) to move from affiliate to full membership of ALDE Party.
