Last week, we welcomed Luis Cano as ALDE Party’s new Campaign Consultant, working to assist the 2024 Campaign team in the planning and organisation of campaign events ahead of the European elections in June.
Born in Venezuela and raised in Hungary, Luis studied law and public administration in Budapest at the Central European University, successfully specialising in political engagement and public narrative at Harvard Kennedy School.
Luis has been working with ALDE Party member Momentum Mozgalom in Hungary and also engaged with several other liberal parties.
Moreover, he is one of the co-founders of the Rainbow Platform in partnership with VVD, D66, Centerpartiet and Nowoczesna, and has also experience with cross-party campaign learning platforms such as PartyParty and the Innovation in Politics Institute.
Luis said: “Traditional political structures are being challenged by the surge of new civic and political movements. Movements have the upper hand in the future to become the next generation of change-makers.
“This is where campaigns and engagement become crucial for our liberal parties. I work to be a bridge for liberals to think of renewing their party structures, improving political talent frameworks and engage with audiences disenchanted by politics.”
Welcome!
