Alliance Of Her hosts Gala Reception in Brussels

On 19 March, the Alliance Of Her hosted a Gala Reception for Alliance Of Her Alumnae, Allies and liberal leaders from across Europe in Brussels.

The event was attended by more than 150 participants and it preceded the two-day ALDE Party Extraordinary Congress and the Renew Europe Now Campaign kick-off event.

During a pivotal time for Europe and our liberal family, Alliance Of Her and partners reinvigorated their call to empower every female political leader actively engaged in shaping the future of Europe, and ensure that liberal women are front and centre of the political agenda in 2024 and beyond.

Executive Vice-President of the European Commission Margrethe Vestager addressed participants in a keynote speech, praising Alumnae for their participation and perseverance on their road to becoming influential changemakers.

“The mentality it takes is the mentality that you’re willing to stand out, do something unprecedented. You have taken the most important step by educating yourself, creating a network, being here, running for office: this is what we need. You will make people see that there is someone who has a real ambition to change Europe, and that is you,” said Vestager.

“We at ALDE Party are bursting with pride about Alliance Of Her Alumnae successes. We think of the program as a huge success, such a success that this year we are opening the program in Ukraine: because we have so many women that deserve, need and crave it,” added ALDE Party Vice-President Kira Rudik.

“Growing together, building this sisterhood is something that never stops. We need all of you to build this liberal female force to shake Europe so that everybody will need to know how it is to be a women in politics and how we are the ones bringing change for Europe,” said ALDE Party Vice-President Svenja Hahn MEP.
