A society cannot thrive without an effective climate resilience, which is why liberals met this week to discuss the future of EU climate policy.
By gathering ahead of the Environment Council (ENVI) on 16 December, liberals exchanged views on the EU Bioeconomy strategy and the need for Europe to strengthen its global climate leadership, especially at platforms such as COP.
The discussion also included conversations about efficient simplification, high prices and the importance of people-centred approaches to turn policy ideas into tangible benefits for Europeans.
The meeting brought together liberal Ministers including:
- Andres Sutt, Estonia’s Minister of Energy and Environment (Reformierakond, EE)
- Helena Dyrssen, Sweden’s State Secretary, Ministry of Climate and Enterprise (Liberalerna, SE)
- Uroš Vajgl, Slovenia’s Secretary of State in Ministry of Environment, Climate and Energy (Gibanje Svoboda, SI)
- Krzysztof Bolesta, Poland's Secretary of State in Ministry of Climate and Environment (Polska 2050, PL)
Ahead of the Council, liberals were focused on people, jobs and practical solutions to shape a greener and more resilient Europe.
