Political Party «Civic Position» started its activity in 2010. Anatoliy Grytsenko, former Minister of Defense of Ukraine (2005-2007), was elected the Chairman of the Party in June 2010. The Party participated in all elections: parliamentary, presidential and local. In September 2019, Volodymyr Girnyak was elected the Chairman of the Coordination Council of the Party. Today the Civic Position has about 560 deputies and heads of local councils. The Party has about 400 organizations and more than 3500 members. In June 2016, Civic Position became a full member of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE). The Party unites people to build Ukraine as a powerful European state, a regional leader, guided by the principle of three "P" (in Ukrainian) - professionalism, decency, patriotism. The key task of the Party is to build a socio-political system in Ukraine that will allow us to use the creative potential of every person and community and will be based on their high morality and responsibility. In its activities the Party leans on active civil society and its basis - the middle class.

The Party stands for the following:

  • The state should provide its citizens with high quality of life and decent social standards, clearly define its national interests, promoting and protecting them;
  • Judicial system should be independent and selective justice is inadmissible;
  • The fight against corruption is the main task for all state institutions.

The Party believes that Ukraine needs:

  • Decentralisation of state power;
  • Demonopolisation of the economy;
  • Depoliticisation of law enforcement agencies.
