On 3 September, liberal Transport Ministers met for an ALDE Party coordination meeting in Brussels to discuss current legislative proposals on European mobility. This meeting was the first of its kind to be organised within the ALDE framework, complementing the Pre-Council meetings and serving as a platform for in-depth transport policy discussions between key liberal policy-makers.
The coordination meeting brought together liberal Transport Ministers, European Commissioner and MEP:
The Coordination Meeting was held as several important proposals related to mobility are under negotiation within the European institutions. The items discussed included the social aspects of and market access to European road transport, relating to the Commission’s First Mobility Package, as well as clean transport and investments.
