Liberal International - ALDE Party Joint Statement on the ‘Election’ of the President of Georgia
Adrián Vázquez Lázara MEP is the new Head of Delegation of ALDE Party’s Spanish member party, Ciudadanos, in the European Parliament. He was elected to lead the parliamentary delegation following the resignation of Luis Garicano.
Vázquez has been an MEP since 2020, when the United Kingdom definitively left the EU, and is the Chair of the European Parliament Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI) and a member of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development (AGRI). He is Ciudadanos spokesperson for agriculture, livestock and fishing issues.
“It is an honour and a pride to take on this challenge and represent the wonderful team of Ciudadanos. With work and humility, we will continue to be the voice in Brussels for thousands of citizens facing a political course full of challenges. Thanks for the confidence”, Vázquez said after his nomination.
ALDE Party co-President Ilhan Kyuchyuk MEP congratulated Vázquez following his election.
“Congratulations dear Adrian. ALDE Party and liberal friends are looking forward to working with you.”
