At the invitation of the Prime Minister of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel, the 8 liberal Prime Ministers and European Commissioners came together on Wednesday 27 June at the Senninger Castle in Luxembourg.
The meeting took place in the evening ahead of the ALDE leaders meeting and the European Council meeting in Brussels with the aim to discuss the future of Europe and to develop a common strategy of the European elections next year.
The ALDE leaders decided to meet on a regular basis to coordinate on specific topics. They agreed to meet on 13 November in Copenhagen to prepare the December Council on the future of the internal market.
