On 14 December, Olena Shuliak was re-elected as leader of ALDE Party member Servant of the People in Ukraine during a party Congress.  

In her speech to the Congress, Shuliak spoke of the party’s achievements during the past two years, and commended the work of its members in relation to large-scale assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and internally displaced people. 

Moreover, she outlined the party’s goals to expand regional projects and movements such as "ZeZhinky" and "ZeMolodizhka", the women’s and youth wings of the party, as well as anti-corruption and clean-up measures, and recovery from Putin’s war of aggression.

"The first task for all of us is victory and peace. This is what President Zelenskyy, diplomats, and our entire team are working on 24/7,” she said. 

“For this reason, we are constantly strengthening the security and defence sector, seeking the supply of tanks, long-range missiles, and fighter jets - and the allies are coming to meet us, although it takes a lot of effort.  

“Therefore, everyone in our team, without exception, must do everything that brings the country closer to victory and report on their actions.” 

She added the party aims to achieve full EU membership, stressing the need to strengthen the party’s international cooperation with partners such as ALDE Party.
