Update to our individual members in the UK

Regretfully, the United Kingdom will leave the European Union on 31 January 2020. If you are an individual member living in the UK, we want to clarify what is going to happen with regards to your individual membership, as we count you as a valuable member of our family.

The rules that we have to follow state that we are not allowed to receive membership fee payments from outside of the European Union. This will of course also include the UK after 31 January 2020.

However, if you renew your membership before 31 January, we will be able to honour your membership for the rest of this year. We know you might not be due for renewal yet, but we cherish having you in our family and we would be honoured to still classify you as a member until the of January 2021. We will also send you a free gift as a token of our appreciation.

Therefore, to make the most out of your membership we would be delighted if you could renew your membership before Friday 31 January.

If you renew in the next three weeks, you can continue to benefit from all possibilities individual membership provides.

We also want to assure you that after this year you will not be forgotten. We are working hard on various practical solutions to make sure our members in the UK can remain involved in ALDE Party’s individual membership and our work to renew Europe for the better. We will keep you posted.
