The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Party (ALDE Party) is the European political family, bringing together parties with common liberal, democrat and reform ideas from more than 30 European countries. Its role is to strengthen the liberal democrat movement throughout Europe, define a common political vision and communicate it effectively to European citizens.
The Brussels-based Secretariat of the ALDE Party supports the activities of the party, organises its meetings, manages its external communication, and facilitates European policy development and networking amongst liberal parties.
To support the work of our Events & Fundraising Unit, we are now seeking a Brussels based:
Job Description
You will support all aspects of the work of the Events & Engagement Unit, with a particular emphasis on political research and content creation for fundraising projects including the Individual Donor & Voter programme and corporate engagement.
You will be the key liaison between the newly formed EU Policy Unit at the Party, brainstorming content for campaigns and coordinating with the Community Manager within the Events and Engagement Unit to disseminate this content to tailored audiences. The individual will be the key to electoral success at the next European elections, and you will have the individual in mind when creating content for these communication campaigns.
You will provide background concept notes and speaker/moderator briefings for both large and small-scale events including Congress 2020
You will attend corporate meetings and write briefings for these meetings, and will proactively seek new corporate engagement opportunites as well as be the key point of contact for all corporate organisations, particularly regarding the ALDE Party Congress in Stockholm in December 2020.
This role will give you the opportunity to put your experience of political research and public affairs to use in a dynamic European political environment in an outward-facing role to a wide variety of political and industry stakeholders. It will also provide hands-on experience of the functioning of a political party as a fundraising and events-organising entity.
