On 23 November, ALDE member VVD in the Netherlands hosted their autumn festival (congress), gathering together members and interested citizens alike from across the country, with a focus on the country’s future as well as the House of Representatives elections scheduled to take place in March 2021.
Among the topics discussed during the festival was the party’s electoral programme, which will be adopted by the General Assembly of the party in November 2020. Topics of international importance, such as the Middle East, were also discussed.
"We work very hard to ensure that the Netherlands works for all those ordinary people who contribute,” party leader and the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said in his speech.
