Liberals celebrate Europe Day

Each year on 9 May, we celebrate the spirit of peace and unity at the core of the European Union. Liberals are proud to mark this important day, an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of European cooperation and look ahead to a brighter future. The next elections to the European Parliament in 2024 are a pivotal moment for liberals to build this better future together.

Ahead of the elections, ALDE Party is hard at work putting together our new electoral manifesto. The 2024 ALDE Party Manifesto will set out our liberal vision to build a Europe that is inclusive, sustainable and ready to tackle citizens’ biggest challenges, such as European security, the cost-of-living crisis and climate change.

This Europe Day, you can help us draft the manifesto! There are several ways to get involved, first by telling us about your priorities for the Manifesto on our new webpage.

Click here to share your ideas!

Another way to engage in constructive dialogue with members of the ALDE Party and share your views on the manifesto drafting process is through our upcoming town hall meetings across Europe. Mark your calendar – the first town hall is set to take place in Denmark on 16 June.

Bookmark this page for updates on upcoming town halls.

Finally, you can join us virtually on ALDE Party’s Instagram @aldeparty on Saturday 27 May. There, you will have the chance to speak with ALDE Party Vice-President Svenja Hahn MEP, Chair of the Manifesto Drafting Committee, during an Instagram live.

We look forward to hearing your views as the Manifesto Drafting process continues in the coming months! You can find out more in our special Europe Day video below or on YouTube.
