The Alliance Of Her is committed to supporting liberal women across European politics, in all their diversity, to achieve their political goals. Building on the success of the first ever 'Youth' class in 2022, the Alliance Of Her Academy will for the first time offer a single session Summer Retreat exclusively for liberal female political leaders under 30.
Following a highly competitive application process, the inaugural group of 20 up-and-coming young female leaders representing 20 liberal parties and 17 countries across Europe has now been officially announced.
The retreat aims to support young, talented and ambitious women already involved in liberal politics across Europe by sharing ideas, insights and our wider network of experts and alumnae with participants to accelerate their careers and journeys in politics. Over three days, participants will explore strategies and techniques on political leadership, get inspired by guest speakers, meet other like-minded women in politics from around Europe and have the time and space to reflect on and develop their plans and aspirations in a supportive and enabling environment.
Following the retreat, participants will have also had an opportunity to experience the Alliance Of Her and consider putting themselves forward for the full academy series – places in which are becoming even more sought after following the programme’s considerable successes since launching in 2016.
📣 Announcing the participants for this year’s Youth Summer Retreat! Congratulations to these ambitious and talented young women in politics, we can’t wait to meet you in Belgium for an empowering retreat this summer 🙌 #SheWillBeHeard pic.twitter.com/PxsUVUehEx

The Alliance Of Her Academy benefits from generous support of our partners, including the European Parliament. As such, all participants must meet strict eligibility criteria, in addition to demonstrating clear leadership talent and ambition. Participants are also informed of the prohibition to run in an election campaign during the academy or up to 12 months after the termination of the program. If this condition is not respected, participants are required to cover costs independently or with a ‘substantial’ contribution from their political party.
